Warning

1. The N leaching algorithms will not work satisfactory if there are coarse continuous pores in the soil as occurs when it is strongly structured.

2. The P routines can only work when available P is by the Olsen (1954) method (i.e. extraction with 0.5M NaHCO3 pH 7.8).

3. P and K routines require coefficients for the interchange between the various forms in which K and P exist in soil. If they are not available, then suggest use the default values.

4. Crop responses to N, P and K depend on a whole range of different factors and our models can only take account of some them. There can therefore be large errors in using the models, and this should be born in mind when interpreting any predictions from them.
